SYN is a psychological thriller inhabiting two different time periods and centering around a beautiful blonde named Jess. Jess has amnesia and remembers nothing about who she is or where she came from. SYN is both Jess' quest to reclaim her lost memories and also on a broader scale, how her very existence could change the course of reality.

Featuring 10 five-minute narrative episodes, State of Syn takes place in a futuristic society where instability reigns but one commodity remains accessible to all: technology. The storyline follows Annika Drake (Staite) and her friends who, following the unexplained death of her father, are pulled into a twisted mystery surrounding his former company, emerging tech giant Psylo5ense. Now run by her father`s former business partner Aslin Kane (Hewlett), Psylo5ense is manufacturing a highly addictive new sensory experience called Vibe - a digital technology simulating a neurological condition called synesthesia - which is poised to become the new opiate of the masses.

Finland, the present. The young son of a Finnish politician and his Russian-born wife is taken away by social services after she is anonymously accused of child abuse.

An adaptation of Oscar Wilde's prose. The story of a child found in the forest, who was taken in by a poor woodcutter's family. The boy grew up to be a handsome but arrogant and selfish young man. One day, a beggar woman arrived in the village claiming to be his real mother. The boy banished her from the village, unable to accept the fact that he was the son of a woman of such low status. With time, however, he realized the cruelty of his actions and decided to find her and ask for forgiveness.
